I was born and raised in Thomaston, Georgia. I graduated from R. E. Lee High School (yes, I was a Rebel then, too!) as Star Student of the Class of 1989. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Mercer University and my M.Ed. from Columbus State University. I married my high school sweet heart, and together we have two sons. For 18 years, I taught everything from 6th grade math through high school math (including Geometry and Algebra I) at Pike County Schools in Zebulon, Georgia. I hope to remain teaching at Zion Chapel until I retire.
