Good Morning Students

Students…We will be looking in vehicles and checking lockers every day until the end of the school year…that being stated,…don’t bring anything on this campus that you don’t want us to find!

Students…remember that your attendance and your behavior will determine whether or not you get to attend your respective field days this year in May!

"Current 10th and 11th graders who would like to take ANY AP courses next year need to complete the AP Application and Contract as well as handing teacher recommendation forms to the applicable teachers. In order to be considered for AP courses, ALL items are due to Mrs. Parker no later than Friday, May 11th."

"AP Parent Information Night is scheduled for this evening at 6 PM in conjunction with 10th Grade Parent Night. Students interested in AP courses should try to attend."

The Winter/Spring Sports Banquet is scheduled for Monday, May 7th at the Hebron Baptist Church. Students who plan on attending need to pick up an attendance form in the front office and return them to the office NO LATER THAN MAY 2nd.

AP Students who owe AP exam fees need to pay Mrs. Parker by Friday, May 4th.

One lucky 7th – 12th grade student with perfect attendance for the month of April will win a 7” RCA Tablet with keyboard. It pays to have perfect attendance!

Students…let me remind you that your vehicles, lockers, etc. are subject to being searched at any time. Law enforcement and drug dogs will be used during searches. Disciplinary actions will be taken for violations and arrests will be made for criminal violations. That being said…do not bring anything onto this campus that is contrary to board policy.

Students…Be sure that you are in compliance with the dress code at all times! Gentlemen…your shirts are to be tucked in at all times! SENIORS…THIS APPLIES TO YOU AS WELL!!! Young ladies…be sure that shirts over tights are fingertip length!   Teachers…please help us monitor this and correct any issues that may arise with this. Also…assign the young men break detention when you see them with their shirts untucked!

Students…remember that cell phones are to be kept in your lockers during the entirety of the school day! We will be having random cell phone checks on a regular basis this semester!

Coach Bryant wanted me to recognize that great things are happening every day in the Zion Chapel weight room…there are a lot of students who have been putting forth a lot of effort and hard work in the weight room this semester in order to become better athletes and ultimately help our athletic program. The following student athletes squatted 300 pounds and over yesterday:

Dustin Tindel

Hunter Sheets

Ben Hutchison

Hunter Oswald

Micah Mauldin

Nate Grantham

Tanner Luckenbaugh

Wrangler Campbell

Brockston Bragg

We are very proud of all the guys that show up every day and put in the work to be successful. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Boys Basketball Tryouts will continue this week. Junior High tryouts will be Thursday and Friday. You must have a current physical on file in the office in order to try out.

The Varsity Softball Team will compete in the Elba Varsity Softball Tournament on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
