Dental screenings will be held today for pre-k through 6th grade. The nurse will start with Pre-k at 8:30 and then call each grade afterwards.

If you want to purchase a 2017 Zion Chapel Athletic Club Football T-Shirt, you can pick up an order form at the front office.

Students interested in earning community service hours should see Mrs. Davis, if you are available on Friday evenings during home football games.

BUS RIDERS…The buses pull out of the parking lot at 3:06. That gives you 5 minutes to go to your lockers, get your stuff, and get on the bus. If you are not on the bus by 3:06…you will not be allowed to get on!

The Volleyball Teams will travel to play New Brockton on Thursday…. Games begin at 4:15.

The Cross Country Team will travel to Opp to compete in the Bobcat Invitational on Thursday.

The Varsity Football Team will travel to play Houston County High School on Friday. Kick off will be at 7:00 pm.

Friday is Cowboy and Indians Day. Cowboy hats will be allowed on that day only (must be a cowboy hat only) and must be removed if instructed to do so by the teacher in the classroom (any other type of hat will result in break detention). Ribbons & tattoos will be sold on Friday for $1 & sheriff badges for $0.50.

FFA dues are $15.00. You must be in Ag classes or have taken an Ag class in order to a member of FFA.

If you plan to be an FFA officer, please pick up an application in Mr. McNaughton’s room.

Anyone interested in joining FBLA should see Ms. Humphrey for a form. Fees are $25.00 and include your FBLA tee shirt for this year. Dues are due by Sept. 15th.

FBLA officers will meet today immediately after school.

The Miss Jack Day Pageant will be held on September 17th. You may pick up entry forms in the front office.

Jack Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd.

Altrusa is hosting a kiss the pig campaign beginning today and running until Jack Day on September 23rd. The candidate with the most monetary donations given in their name will have to “Kiss a Pig” on Jack Day. The three candidates are Mr. Kim Ellis (Coffee County District 2 Commissioner), Mr. Brian McLeod (Coffee County School Board President), and of course, Dr. Vohn Enloe (Principal).   Who do you want to see “Kiss a Pig?”

For the first time ever, Altrusa of Jack is sponsoring a Pecan Bake Off at the Jack Day Community Festival. If you are interested in competing in this, please stop by the office and pick up an informational brochure.
